Door knob My title is Open your Doors to Creativity!!!!

Hello everyone,

They are having a fabulous challenge over at Simon Says Stamp this week.....anything but a card. Well I just knew my altered quilt was perfect for the challenge.  I am always buying from them...oh my!!! Lots of products I used came from Simon Says Stamp......but of course right~~ there are over 40 squares. Each one having a different technique. Using loads of Tim's products. The door handle is one I found for .77 cents at Lowe's.  The flower is made from a punch and pieced together. The Marvy embossing Pansey....I just added layers and cuts....then attached with a Imaginisce I-top....which I love!! The stamens are colored with Copics. So many techniques.....I also used Ice Resin. Make sure you check out Tim's book for your inspiration.  The metal is Ten Second Studio which they sale too!! Gotta love it!! The whole quilt is made from grunge board. I used E 6000 for my adhesive. One of my favs. Hope you like it!! Fun fun fun!!
Just a quick note my dd is Korea by now but I still have not heard from here...it is driving me nuts!! I have texted her and I don't know anything about the cell phone service in Seoul South Korea. She is in the Army and just left Tuesday here for her new duty station. Pleae keep her in your prayer's.....THANKS!!! A huge cyber hug to all!! Have a WONDERFUL INSPIRED weekend!! I will be in class all weekend......until then!!! XXXX Dawn Gallop

Hello all,

I made this cute little card to make in a Copics Technique Class...learning Cool Gray's. We used C1-C9.  The stamps are Imaginisce and are still available at the store. All About Scrapbooks. That same night we also made this adorable card Give Me a Call Sometime, that Chris gave me permission to teach for a Digi technique using Cool Gray's. Too too cute!! The card is made from Bazzill paper that I used the Silhouette SD to cute the scalloped card. Love it!! The transparencies are a wonderful gift from my dear friend/student Beverly.....she has provided us with tons of transparencies for many of the classes. I ran it thru my laser printer and had the cob web in the cut out. Sakura white pen. Fun simple card...which you know simple is hard for me!! LOL!! Thanks everyone for the well wishes...this sciatic nerve pain is no fun. I feel that if I could just rest it would heal. The boys just keep me too busy. I wanted to share these fun pics of the boys the other night...I had bought some glo sticks and lets just let the fun begin!! Wishing everyone a wonderful inspired day!! Cyber hUGS, Dawn Gallop

My first fine silver bezel ring

Hello all.

I am still tring to post some of my works during my absence. It is just so hard.....lol!! I have been kinda not moving around well here.  Two Sunday's ago I was pulling Dusty out of the tub and pulled well I thought a muscle, turned out to be my sciatic nerve...which being the good nurse that I am I diagnosed myself before the Dr. visit. It had got so bad I still can't even feel three of my toes!! Have been on Prednisone and motrin....so heres hoping fot the BEST!!! If I could just take it easy....LOL!, for some reason that is not in my nature!! Anyway enough said.....I made this wonderful little ring from fine silver taught by Lillian Jones. She is wonderful instructor, friendly, extremely informative!!!  Most of the girls in the class used stick pearls......me ya know gotta be "DIFFERENT". I put the swirls as a added accent.....not in the original design. Now I am ready to make more.  Fun Fun Fun!!! The class was at Ornamentea which has been a real favorite of mine!!! The only thing is I live almost three hours away. If it was closer I would be there as much as possible!! It is one "ROCKING" fabulous place to be, shop, and the staff is so friendly and helpful!!! Awesome awesome place!!!! Thanks Ornamentea....plus they have this great blog. http://shinylittlethings.blogspot.com/  Check them out!! I also wanted to share some pics from the weekend. My dd who is in the US Army has been here for a week...she is now today off to Korea. We will all miss her. My whole immediate family came this weekend to visit so I wanted to share these pics. Have a WONDERFUL INSPIRED DAY!!!! Cyber Hugs, Dawn Gallop
