Hello and Happy Saturday,
Last week I received this wonderful sweet box from Deb at Damboise Designs Say it With Letters Etsy Shop  NEST. Thanks Deb!! It is one of the biggest sellers for her wonderful Etsy store....oh my! My wish list is long so many wonderful creations to decorate with. Super cute and super fun!!! You can start from a babies name to many Holiday ideas, and gifts for that special someone. Check it out HERE!!! Also she has a BLOG filled with wonderful ideas and the cutest little children. This is my second DT piece. I will have many more as soon as I can get my list down to reality....lol!!!
I began with painting the sides with Golden paints Titan Buff, then using the 7 Gypsies line Conservatory pp I glued down the traced letters with the pp. Then added a fine line of the Ranger Glossy Accents using the German Glass Glitter which Deb sells and the glitter is an amazing product, it is real glass and it actually tarnishes over time and is so beautiful. A must!! Sprinkled the glitter on. Oh yeah before I did that I used a small amount of Tim Holtz Antique Linen by Ranger to ink the letters slightly. The pp itself was just perfect but you know me gotta add...lol!! So I thought it needed the felt flower, I designed the petals myself. Then added a half of a felt ball hand sewing the tiny glass beads on. The buttons are vintage buttons from an old sewing factory here in NC. I have an old huge pickle jar I have had since 1995 and have used almost half of them over the years on projects. The twine is Bakers twine which Deb sells too. The twigs are Rosemary twigs from my garden after I took off the greenery after it dried.
The bird is a Christmas bird from the 50's that had a clip on it I took it off and glued in the S.....perfect fit. The flower vine is Prima, I coated with Tattered Angels Glam. Then back over with the Golden Titan Buff. I hope you like it. I do have more pics of the pizza oven so stay tuned will show asap. Have a WONDERFUL Happy weekend, Cyber Hugs, Dawn Gallop :o)

Good Morning,
Thought I would get this up and started early the boys had wacky-tacky day at school and oh my fun fun. They had to bring in canned goods for the holiday donations.....loaded them up and out the door.  The two little ones are sleeping and me drinking this cup of English breakfast tea to share with you this little card I made yesterday after the chiropractor visit, which btw is sooooo helping my leg.  Last night I had a Copic class to teach and we had so much fun....just talking and relaxing and made the cutest card...which I will share asap.
The card I made by one night talking on the phone with Bevy.....I colored in the pumpkin....well now I wanted to add to it...in my mind I saw this image and cut the tree with Silhouette SD an adorable tree!! Using Imaginisce papers, Apple Cider pp line. Which I have really really enjoyed this year. I guess you figured that out, lol!! I also thought the Cricut Cindy Loo squirrel was perfect using the Apple Cider line. The cardstock is Bazzill. I used the Cuttlebug with a Sizzix embossing folder using the deboss side. Sewed around the card using my Brother digital sewing machine. The pumpkin is Copic markers. I used TH peeled paint distress ink to add shading to the cute squirrel. The Give Thanks stamp is Stampin'Up perfect size little stamps.
The boys had "Dress in a book Character day" yesterday so Colten dressed as Cat in the Hat. Which used to Cody's. Colby dressed as the Captain, an outfit that used to be Coltens. They had a super time at school. We put newspaper in the hat every time someone wears it.....well I sent Colten up to the studio to get newspaper and you know what he came down the steps with.........a 1930's magazine YIKES!!! Thanks goodness he asked first. I was making their breakfast so I couldn't do it....or they would have burnt breakfast. LOL!! Daddy ran up there and he too said he was blind because he couldn't find it either...anyway I explained more and we finally had a stuffed hat.
Our pizza oven is coming along......WOOO HOOOO!! Can't wait. Every Friday night (unless we have something to do) we have FRIDAY NIGHT PIZZA NIGHT!!!! The dough rises all day and everyone helps out......it is just good family fun, not to mention all my older children have left home knowing how to cook just about anything and everything.  That will make a parent proud!! We have been wanting this pizza oven for a really long time and now our dream is coming true.  I will be able to make 100 loaves of bread, etc..... I just can't WAIT!!!!!  I hope everyone has a wonderful inspired weekend!!!! MAKE ART!!! Cyber Hugs, Dawn Gallop :o)

Hello Friends,    Hope you all are doing awesome!!! I made this project for the Simon Says Stamp and Show this week for the awesome challenge" Whatever Makes You Happy".  Well you know what alot of things make me happy but one thing that does is sewing..and I have realized that I have not even made many post on things I have sewn....I have tried here lately to include other creations other than scrapbooking. I have never made much effort to include the sewn items..I know in scrapbooking I have included costumes etc. I really do need to share some of them.
The configuration box is Tim Holtz which they sell at Simon Says Stamp I have been wanting to make one every since CHA. I decided the sewing was perfect for my first one (yeah you know I wanna make more). Sewing truely makes me happy. Love it in everyway. I would make the girls dresses, costumes, and even add lace to their socks.  Now I will quilt blankets, make practicle items (toaster cover, bags, etc.) I even would make my own purses and the girls too. I have really neglected this wonderful enjoyable hobby.
Things I put into the box are tomato pin cushion I inked to distress using Distress inks. The pins are colored with Copic markers. Vintage items, Melody Ross brad "Homemade", GCD pp, old pattern and Golden gel medium. The lace is vintage. The feet are Tim Holtz, the hinges are unknown I installed them using the Fiskars hand drill. Alcohol inks on the metal embellishments.
The encaustic piece is another view of my happy sewing side...the GCD Melody Ross sign, the Unity Stamp Company is the chairs.....oh love that stamp. I used staz-on to stamp with.  The flower is Prima. I also wanted to share with you about the pizza oven we have been working on.....can't wait. The boys stamped thier hands in the bottom where the wood will be stored. So exciting!! More pics to come. Hope you have a wonderful inspired day. Cyber Hugs, Dawn Gallop

Hello,                                                                                                                                                                                 Everything went well today I am improving everyday with my sciatic nerve.  The boys are still sick with this yucky cough, and Cooper keeps letting me know "I too sick" (to do anything). I decided last night I was going to drag out the encaustics stuff and get to work, I have only dabbled in it a few times in the past...mostly because of Suze Weinberg we also worked on it at Inspired this past year.  Well I had been just about begging hubby to go to Art of the Carolinas well that was out of the question. Beverly called me on Sunday of last week and we were talking back and forth about it and I said yeah I wanna go BAD!!! She said lets...well I got off the phone and asked hubby and he said YES!!! So I bought my class right away and all week me and Bevy were just EXCITED!!!
Friday came and I was excited but felt like I was on a bad roller coaster ride...so much to do to leave my crew even if only for a few hours.....imagine what I went thru to go to Utah last fall.???. LOL!! Me and Bevy were loaded up and on our way to Raleigh NC. I took Bevy country roads until Hwy 64..... it is shorter!!! LOL! Bevy didn't think so! We just had a blast California Kitchen (love that place) Bevy's treat!! Thanks Beverly I could never Thank You enough. NEVER!!!  Archivers, Ornamentea, Barnes and Nobles, and Jo-Ann's Crafts. We were just having a ball finally we got to the Art of the Carolinas and oh my it was Art Utopia....and my class was starting oh no not enough time to shop. Encautic Collage he we are with our wonderful fun teacher Patricia Baldwin Seggebruch she has a book out which btw she signed my copy. Happy Waxing!! Love it!! We made three little collages see above compliments of R&F. They provided the awesome boards and paints for the class. I could have just painted all day. Well eager to make something at home...I dug out what little bit of encaustics that I do have. I set out to waxing......as always I work with what is out and about in close reach (when I haven't cleaned up) so i made the board above with Imaginisce and Dusty. The ATC (compliments of Bevy) thanks dear!!! :o) felt, German glass glitter, 7 Gypsies pp. Fun fun!!! Now that I have made this post I am gonna make another something now...well finish up another project hope to post tomorrow...can't wait to show ya!!! EXCITING! One more quick thing...I forgot to tell ya I made the top three at Simon Says Stamp and Show Blog....the other week with my Haunted Shrine....this is BIG!!! A real honor! Have a GREAT DAY!!! :o) Cyber Hugs, Dawn Gallop

Hello all,
I have tried all day to get to this post....lol!! Dusty and Cooper are now both sick with a cold and quite frankly cranky and miserable. Poor babies.  Saturday we went to the school Scholastic Book Fair, the theme this year is Reading Saves the Day.  The boys love that show.....we were singing the song and having a fun filled super reading day. I just love going to these.....for the cookbooks wink wink of course. I always love the themes and the work and creativity that goes into the book fairs!!! Just awesome!!
I will be talking about the goodies from Friday with you as soon as I can get the pics loaded. Hubby is talking about taking my computer to repair place to look at and I am just not happy with that idea!! So we shall see.
What are you thankful for????? This card is for Crystal (I am still waiting on her address) from Korea. I guess I need to tell her I am sending her money, LOL!!!!  I want her to know how thankful we are of her and for her duty to our country. She is an apple of my eye!!! Hence the apples! LOL!! I used all Imaginisce Apple Cider collection. Love that pp, the raccoon is too too cute. The stamp is also Imaginisce, I colored the stamp in with Copics. The leaf stamps are also Imaginisce using Ranger watermark stamp pad. The waves were made with Fiskars scissors. Well better run...the boys will be wanting to eat dinner soon. Cyber Hugs and be creative, Dawn Gallop
