The 12 Tags of 2013 July for the Tim Holtz Addicts Group using the Sihouette Cameo for the London diecut

I had signed up to swap the Tim Holtz Tag's of 2013 on Swap-Bot for the Tim Holtz Addicts. Well most of the time I am not signing up for stuff like I should because there is always something else to do, I guess you can imagine that, right! Never a dull moment here.....and when people tell me they are bored I tell them I have never known that except when I was a child. I stay so busy that if I was to get bored....wow!! I would just make art anyway so I don't see that happening, lol!
I took all the pics with my IPhone. My partner I had her boyfriend likes London....well she's getting it! I hope she likes it!

Just another view of the tag I cut the London using the Silhouette Cameo

Blueberries, Blueberries, Blueberries!!!! RECIPES!! Canning, Waffles, Watercolor, Picking, Freezing, Smoothies, and Cobblers!!! Yeah All About Blueberries!

Hello again well it has been a month of blueberries! Seriously I felt like I was up to my ears with blueberries. My husband and boys,( and me too ) have spent a lot of July picking blueberries and giving them away too. Blueberries are sooo good for you, they provide you with vitamin C, lots and lots of Phytonutrients, manganese, fiber, antioxidants, low in fat, brain health, insulin response and heart healthy. You can read more on blueberries at the Blueberry Nutrition Site.  Also at the World's Healthiest Foods. The second site even provides great healthy recipes. These little blue wonders pack a punch of amazing benefits!!! They are sooo yummy too! Okay now I want some blueberries! LOL!
I do need breakfast now so I am going to go have some oatmeal (not instant) with a handful of blueberries. I will eat this a lot for breakfast and the Chobani  plain non-fat yogurt and add blueberries. This recipe from Chobani and steel oats is amazing too!!! YUM!

This was just three trays of blueberries that we picked, we literally had about 20 of these all together. THAT'S A LOT OF BLUEBERRIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 THE COBBLER
Recipe
3 Cups of blueberries can be fresh or frozen
1 Tablespoon lemon juice
1 Tablespoon lime juice
1 teaspoon of almond extract
1 cup sifted flour
1 cup of sugar
1/2 teaspoon of salt
1 egg beaten
1/2 cup of milk (you may also use buttermilk)
1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
6 Tablespoons of butter melted
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees using a 9x9 pan coat the dish with butter or spray the pan with a spray such as PAM®. Place blueberries in the bottom of the dish/pan, then add the lemon juice, the lime juice and the almond extract mix together in the blueberries. Sift together dry ingredients flour, sugar, salt, then add beaten egg, now mix in the milk (buttermilk) whichever you wanted to use, then add the vanilla. I personally like the milk better myself but others have said they like the buttermilk...so its all in taste. Now pour the flour mixture on top of the blueberries and then pour the melted butter on top pop into the oven for approx. 35-40 minutes. Serve with ice cream. We eat it with vanilla ice cream and sometimes we just add the Reddi-wip® and then other times we add both!!It is a very yummy recipe and can be used for peaches (omit the lime juice only) raspberries (same as above) blackberries (same as above) cherries (same as above). I have taken this cobbler to many events and I have been told that it tastes just like their mothers and/or their grandmas...etc! It truly an easy no fail recipe. TIP: Do not use a 9x13 pan to double continue to use the 9x9 twice if you want to double recipe....it is too hard to cook in center. The sides get too brown.
Here is another view of more blueberries at another time. Then there was one more time when they were all on the table and even more trays.....yikes!

Making Blueberry Jam

Start off with 4 cups of mashed blueberries, pour into large pot, then add  2 Tablespoons of lemon juice, then add 7 cups of sugar stirring until comes to a rolling boil then add two packages (or two pouches) of pectin this can be CERTO® , SURE-JELL PREMIUM FRUIT PECTIN, or BALL  RealFruit® Pectin I use whatever I can find at the stores here and mostly it is the Ball brand or if I get it at Wal-Mart  I get CERTO® . I have had no issues from any of the products and I have been canning since I was 20 years old. I have all canning stuff from Ball. Once the berry and pectin come to a boil, boil for a complete one minute then turn off the burner.  Make sure to place jam in warm jars, I heat mine up in the oven on 175 degrees until they are hot. Then ladle into hot jars making sure not to drip on the side I use a funnel for this that Ball sells. Then wipe your rims of the jar (lip) making sure it is clean and dry! Now you will need to seal with new lids and rings. Then place in a water bath canner for 25 minutes. Once you remove place on a towel then once completely cooled check to see if lids sealed and if one doesn't you could place in refrigerator and use immediately.   Ball is also having a #canitforward
which I know I plan on having!!! Such a great idea not to mention spreading the art of canning!! I GREATLY appreciate the talent! I would love to share the love of canning! Go HERE if you would also like to learn about it also on the hash tag above the image is the link. I'm sooo excited about this!!
Here is the Ball funnel that I use to can with. This one I got a few years back.
Here is another funnel I use to can with I have had this one from 1990.  the plastic stick is from Ball too it is a bubble remover or air remover. They also sell them here.
The water bath canner.

Here are the little gift jars I did! Too cute!!!!
My canning closet! The shelves are as long as your arm deep and the jars go all the way back.
These are the blueberries in the freezer. I use quart freezer bags and I always use
brand.
What you do is wash and dry your blueberries (I place them on the trays and let them dry overnight) I will even put a small fan on them to speed the drying process. Then place in baggies and freeze in the deep freezer.
I will make smoothies using yogurt (Chobani see beginning of post)  and blueberries and the Almond milk.
I use one cup of  almond milk, 1/2 cup of blueberries, and 6 oz. of Greek yogurt.
Also I will add the Jay Robb to the smoothie, yum!! Also I add the blueberries to the raw juices I make. YUM!
Not exactly the best shot but at least I took one, when I am doing this I never know what I will do with my pics just so happened I thought blueberries would make a great post!!!

Here is one and they are AMAZING YUMMY! I made them again today for Crystal and Skylar, and Jamie. Tara had to leave early. I am guessing you want my recipe for Waffles too????

WAFFLES

2 cups of cups Original Bisquick® mix
1 1/2 cups of milk (I also use buttermilk)
1 egg
2 Tablespoons of vegetable oil
1 teaspoon of vanilla
1 cup of blueberries (if frozen you can leave frozen) they will still cook fine in the griddle.
Whenever I make this I have to double it. I add all kinds of goodies like chocolate chip, bananas, coconut...etc! YUMMY!  This is my most quick and easy version of homemade waffles!
