Nurse Thank You Card and Bag

Hello everyone I have been so busy I had forgot to post this. My dd Crystal graduated from CNA class from her High School class. The girls asked me to make a card and gift bag. Well Crystal said make it simple...well she knows I don't do simple...but I think I did what she wanted. All 16 of the graduates signed the card and the teachers gift card was placed in the bag. The gift card was to a Spa for the day.....Perfect!! Cricut Wild Card was used.

Dragonfly Card ~Tutorial~

Hello everyone here is the card I made using the dragonfly tissue paper technique. See below I created the card using K and Co. Blue Awning, Cricut Storybook Accent/frame Pg. 72 cut at 5 1/2. The silhouette cattail was cut from Wild Card cut at 5 1/2. The stamp is from Stamp Oasis. I used alcohol inks to cover a clear acetate sheet using, green , blue, pearl, and white with the extender. I backed acetate with bown cardstock. You may click on picture to view closer. tfl.

Step 1

Gather supplies needed Pearl Ex, mica powders, glitters, Diamond glaze, gold or silver tissue paper, heat resistance transfer paper, stamps, black ink. Stamp your stamps onto a plain sheet of white typing paper using the darkest black ink you have. Using the white sheet of stamped paper run it thru your copier (darkest setting if you can adjust) using the transfer paper that it is being copied to. Allow to dry.

Step 2

Now using the same side that the print was made on (usually the rougher side) cover with the Diamond Glaze sprinkle on the mica powders, and the glitter.

Step 3

Now taking the tissue paper cut to fit may over lap ball up tissue paper in hand then open back up and place on your image. pressing.

Step 4

Now this what you should have, place on tissue side up to dry...I usually let it dry overnight or all day.

Step 5

When completely dry you may cut out image.

Step 6

This is another finished dragonfly ready to go on a page or a card, or any project. This was my first tutorial. Thanks for looking, hope this helps.

Hippie Birthday ~Basic Grey Challenge #32~

Hello everyone, I completed this card for the Basic Grey Challenge #32 one of Christine's awesome sketches. Fabulous cards!!! Check it out! Okay most who know me, know I have not made cards but a few since like 2003.....yeah I know along time.....but my time is so limited (who's isn't) so when I do get to craft....I make scrapbook pages.....but I think I have fell back in love with card making. Here is my first watercolor card....I used a stamp I have had since 2001 and the saying is from SU 2001 Hippie Birthday....love that saying!!! Oh course I used the Basic Grey Color Me Silly line. The flowers are cut from the Cricut from Wild Card at 2, 1 3/4, and 1 1/2. The peace signs are from Disney The Cars Cart....funny story is...I knew I had seen a peace sign on one of the carts....so I kept looking and my 11yo ds Cody was helping....and he finally said maybe it's the Cars...yeah I screamed. I have to hide that cart. from my little boys....they just want to look at it all the time. So the peace signs were made at 3/4. Some inking and sewing!!!!!!!! TFL!
