Grandma's House altered item

Hello everyone and Happy Saturday!!! I wanted to share this adorable little house that we received at the Rusty Pickle retreat in our gift bags. The little house was donated by Deb Damboise of Say it with Letters.http://www.sayitwithletters.com/
She also has a wonderful blog check it out it http://www.sayitwithletters.blogspot.com/
She generously donated these wonderful little houses to all the Rusty Pickle Chef's. I decided last night I could not stand it anymore I had to decorate it and since I had Abigail my 3 yo granddaughter all last week .....what more perfect than to make a wall hanging of Grandma's House. It turned out so cute the pics are not the best due to the sun not shinning, it just keeps raining and raining here. When the sun shines I will post better pics. Also in our gift bag from the retreat we received the green flowers from Creative Charms they are velvet....soooo soft!! Check them out http://www.creativecharms.com/ I love 'em!! Also used from the retreat goodie bag was the green gingham ribbon from Bazzill and the Prima flower charms top of house. The pic is of Abigail last Sunday wearing the snow princess outfit I bought here. Too cute!

Snow Baby ~Rusty Pickle~

Hello everyone I did this layout while in Utah at the Rusty Pickle retreat. I used snow-tex which I bought at Michael's and kinda painted on as if the snow had fallen. Everything is 100% Rusty Pickle except the snow and the floss. The picture is of Dusty last Feb. 2009 when we got a little dusting of snow....yeah it's North Carolina we do not get much snow....but really do enjoy what we do get. I had packaged the layout in my suitcase and let me tell ya the papers were everywhere in my case and the moisture in the air made the snow like it was wet again...so this poor lo went thru alot. Thanks, Dawn

Catch Up ~Rusty Pickle~ ~Two Chicks Designs~Everything in between

Hello everyone I know it has been awhile I can hardly catch a moment for myself here. I was in Utah with all the Rusty Pickle girls and what a blast we had came home to two sick boys and a messy house. It has taken me this long to post anything. I made this for my secret sister at the Rusty Pickle retreat. Pamela Young was my secret sister and received this frame of her family. I had purchased the frame at Michael's for 4.99 in the wood section and used the Rusty Pickle Mayflower collection to decorate. I inked and used Tim Holtz crackle paint...love that stuff!! The alphas are Quickutz and the hearts are some wooden hearts I have had since the 80's...(i know) The bingo card is Jenni Bowlin, Prima flowers. Had lots of fun making and really enjoyed giving to Pamela. I will be posting more close up pics on my blog!! http://creationsbydawn.blogspot.com/
