Hello and Boooooo a Big Halloween Welcome to the Halloween Day of  the Dead Jewelry Blog Hop organized by Diana of Suburbangirlstudio. The link about the hop can be found HERE. It  really is a pure honor to be in the blog hop with such awesome jewelry artist. I only ventured into the jewelry world in mid 2010, and have met some amazing talented artist along the way. The necklace that I made for the hop is what I am calling ~Boo it's Halloween Matey~. The focal bead I bought at Bead Fest from Maureen of Pumpkin Hill Beads it is a tiny gecko pirate on a pumpkin, with a peg leg. Immediately he was screaming buy me......and I completely obeyed. Just knowing I would come up with something. Of course Halloween came and went and he sat patiently waiting for his chance to shine.....I got up the notion to make a wire wrap necklace (which btw this was my first wire wrapped necklace) I used 16gauge sterling silver wire. I soldered the circles closed and the jump rings.

 The bead is amazing!!

The orange beads came from Sue Beads
The candy corn beads came from Melanie at Moonraker Lamp Werks
along with the candy corn striped pairs.
The small lime green and yellow spacer beads came from Michelle at The Spacer Bead Shop.

But Wait I'm not finished.............

Since it was a Day of the Dead blog hop too......I made but of course a Day of the Dead necklace with this totally rocking pottery pendant......from
yep you guessed it
Jenny Davies-Reazor  http://jdaviesreazor.com/blog
it was love at first sight.......for me anything skull, sugar skull, I'm there!
On Friday night I put this together while watching When Ghost Attack.
I used stone faceted beads that I bought at Bead Fest
I used the tutorial on Ornamentea of the Laced Heart Necklace by Cynthia Deis which I had made before so I knew that was the plan for this necklace. I also used two Elaine Ray beads the cherry jam rounds.

I had made the copper clasp  earlier that day knowing I was going to get the necklace made. I just love all the little dangles of beads Jennifer added to the sugar skull.

and for the last but not least I bought these beads at Sue Beads while at ArtBliss knowing I was going to make earrings to match the ~Boo it's Halloween Matey~ necklace and already knew the style I was going to use for the earrings and of course lime green is my favorite color...
The earring are the stir-up style I learned in class with Stacie Florer last year at ArtBliss which seriously took me a year to acquire all the tools to make...lol!!!

again the lime green beads came from Sue Beads
I made them Friday during the day and have been wearing them every since....I just love Stacie's design.

Well that's a wrap are you scared now or ready to make some jewelry???

I know I am ready hop to be inspired by all the amazing artist in the hop!!!

These are mask I will be making a post on November 2 for Day of the Dead.

Happy Halloween
Day of the Dead
thank you so much for stopping by enjoy the hop

A Bracelet I made at BEADFEST! Lots of Beads, Buttons, and Charms!!!

I took a class on the last day of BEADFEST which was a lot different for me.....give me some metal and I'm OK....but when I walked in (which the morning I over slept it must of been because we were catching some fun in Philly on South St. the night before) late.....Maria and the other students were gathering up their supplies. A little frantic from being late I apologized and began picking my colors, etc.....when I saw those seed beads (PANIC) OK what am I going to do with them....yeah I know I've used them in sewing and some jewelry but I was like oh no....seed beads......anyway Maria broke that fear! LOL!
I was able to finish the bracelet a couple of nights at home in the evening after the boys went to sleep. I learned so much in Maria Richmond 's class. It was such a pleasure to have been in her class and meet a lovely lady from Germany, who had flown all the way to Philly just to take these classes.....now that's amazing!! What a wonderful person!
I used some of my clay hearts, so much!
The charm with the birdie is from lovely friend from Germany! I love it!
 Note all the buttons
 That awesome camera charm!!!!!
Of course with all my work I add a number "9"
The lights.....hence the name of her class Leave the Lights On!
Love the leaves, the faces, the lights. I had such an awesome time in the class and all the new techniques of beading's and buttoning (which I have always had a thing for buttons) LOL!
I hope you are having a great week...also don't forget to check out the ATC Sunday still going on.....
HERE
You can add old and new ATC links.
THANK YOU!!!!!
Happy Beading!!

I'm still in awe of it! UNBELIEVABLE!!!!

My first class started off with Enameling in Depth with Linda Darty. Which was complexly awesome and for my love of enameling I left the class with so much more info...and understanding of her book, I'm just super charged with enameling info!!!! JUST AWESOMENESS ALL AROUND!!!!! We worked individually and shared the row of kilns and had conversations at the kilns....just two days full of enameling LOVE!
This beautiful bird plate was one of the plates that Linda had made for her mom back in the late 70's...and let me tell you GORGEOUS!!!!! All done with enamels. Stunning!!!!
Here we are with the Paragon Kilns. They so wonderfully allowed our class to use and purchase after class if you liked. I already had one....and the quality of this kiln is PERFECT!!! I enjoy mine. I have the Paragon SC3-BD Kiln.
Some of Linda Darty's works of art...the cloisonne' pieces...just awwww BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!

Linda had samples of the types of enameling and explained the pieces....I'm telling you her instruction is PHENOMENAL!!! I would love to have more in depth training....My mind is still spinning of all the ideas....and creativeness that I will use in the years to come. I can't THANK Linda Darty enough!!! Such an AMAZING teacher. We even had two of her past students come and help Sharon....and well I'm terrible with names....Sharon helped us all out in so many wonderful ways...I so appreciate Sharon for taking the time and sharing of talents with us.

Here is some of the students in the class works of art....everyone had a blast and turned out some amazing art!!!

Again the works of art of the enameling class....Breathtaking colors!!! AMAZING!!!

Great details and so many fresh ideas = yet so much more to do with enameling!!!
