Hello and welcome here we are at January 21, 2026 wow it seems like it’s been a whirlwind of a time. Here it is almost Jrs. Birthday he will be 39 years old. What!! Yep! 39 years old, 468 months old, 14,245 days old, 2035 weeks old. He was born the year of the rabbit with the fire element. It was a very cold winter in the Tidewater area of Virginia. It had been snowing so much and the parking lots would have piles of snow everywhere. Something I had only at the time seen twice in my lifetime the year 1978 and again in 1987. There would be many years in Virginia we would not see snow. He was born with a low body blood sugar he couldn’t keep a steady blood sugar. He was in the incubator for 10 days. I was 18. We had one car and Bruce would take it to work. I was in the hospital with him up until I was discharged and sent home. Well I had no way to get to the hospital, I could have rode the public transportation but I had just had a cesarian section and was on high doses of antibiotics and pain medications. It was 1987 I was 18 years old and hadn’t gone to nursing school yet. So basically I was uneducated enough to know what I needed or what I should do. My friend Marlene whom I would babysit her daughter was a great friend helper and loving person to me. Thank you Marlene. You will never know how much I appreciate you. The nurse that was taken care of Jr while he was in the hospital called me one day and told me that I was a terrible mom for not being there for my son when I was discharged. When my husband would get home from work we would go visit. It was only like two days from the time I was discharged to the day Jr came home. He was so tiny and with head full of red hair. We brought him home in a little golfing outfit that Marlene had bought him. I would show you the pictures but my son took his albums home with him on his last visit. Which I am so thankful he wanted them. That’s a whole other story not related to Jr. The Super Bowl was that Sunday after he was born where the New York Giants and the Denver Broncos played in California. The score was 39-20 where the Giants defeated the Broncos. No one could really visit because of the snow storm which paralyzed the East Coast. Known as The Great Snowstorm of 1987. My Uncle, my grandmother on my dad side did come. My mom and stepfather visited. I don’t think my dad came but he may have I just don’t remember that. He did come when Alexis was born. I remember that because he joked about the girl beside me asked if he was the doctor and he loved that looking in the mirror and was Doctor G. I’m smiling remembering him doing that.
Now here Jr is a hard working dad, husband, brother, uncle and son. They are on the MSC from New York to The MSC island and back to New York a seven day cruise. Left to right Dakota, Levi, Clarissa, and Samantha. My grandchildren. Kim and Clarissa
Samantha is like a movie star ⭐️ I’m thinking of Ginger from Gilligan's Island. I watched that all the time growing up. When I first saw the picture Ginger popped in my head. Beautiful Mr. Levi can make you smile every time. He is adorable. Loves anything Titanic.
Jr and Levi I love this!
Mom and daughters beautiful
I love all the fancy themes and meals. The MSC is so good to you. I have no comparisons but Jr. and Kim do and they love MSC. They have done probably over 10 plus cruises and have been on a lot of different companies ships. Bravo MSC!!!
They love the cruises for all the creative drinks they can get it’s the cutest. Levi has on a Titanic watch.
They saw the Statue of Liberty 🗽 too. I saw it back in 1983 when we were there in New York getting ready to leave for the Swiss Alps on a school trip where I visited Paris, the French Rivera, Italy, and Switzerland. A wonderful trip. I only wish I could it again. It was absolutely amazing and those memories have a lasting impression on my life. It was good for the soul. I was in the 10th grade. Our French teacher took us. Oh the stories I could tell you from the that trip. Better close until next time. Much love and good vibes. Thank you, Dawn Gallop
Notes to self -Colten cut his finger at work now on antibiotics after a trip to the ER. - I spent most of my day in class Facets. The 100 day project. - It is really cold out the weather warning is EXTREME COLD. 🥶
