Hello I know I am a bit late with this post but life has hit me hard with a sudden sickness. We left San Diego early. Waking up at 3 am. Billy my son in law drove us to the plane. Bruce had cancelled the Uber ride when he offered to take us. We were so thankful of that. Cooper having 3 large Marine bags. We left San Diego at 6:05 am. I was feeling queasy on my stomach. Tired as well. I hadn’t eaten anything so that was good since I was so ill feeling. We got to Denver still not feeling well. It continued throughout you get the picture. When we left Denver Bruce and I were in the very last seats on the plane. So I kept smelling diesel not helping my stomach. I was cold and I tried sleeping to no avail. When we landed in Milwaukee I was basically just trying to make it. When the flight attendant asked me what was wrong me responding I was nauseous so she gave me three mints. Now it gets better she was wonderful. Seriously.
So once we were off the plane walking back to the luggage pick up area I could barely make it my back was in such extreme pain and discomfort. I was stopping every few seconds to push against a wall to try to straighten it up. Not working. Along comes the flight attendant who gave me the mints says is it your back. I have some lidocaine patches here here’s two. Thank you so much!!! Well we keep walking poor Bruce trying to hold me up and tote the carry on bags. I was struggling and out of nowhere here comes this man with a wheelchair. He was like an angel appeared to me. Thank you to this kind man. So Bruce was able to wheel me out of the airport. We come home to 13 degrees Fahrenheit. Alexis and Garrett picked us up. They had bought Cooper two bags full of food and drinks from the Kwik Trip. Cooper was not feeling well either. Jet lag to all the festivities. However he is perfectly fine today. Me on the other hand still in the bed. I have been in the bed since 7:18 pm yesterday. I have woke up several times and typed this up. I have not ate since Saturday night. I have drank water and a ginger ale. I came home crawled into bed and that was it. The dogs have been beside me pretty much the whole time. One cat out of three. Stormy. She’s a Somerset tuxedo cat. She’s adorable.
This is view of the Colorado Rockies from the plane window. The house we stayed at has this beautiful garden area. I watercolored (yes I took a travel bag of watercolors) on this back terrace spot. Just lovely.
The morning we were leaving San Diego the sun was coming just gorgeous. Cooper said all week he needed pics for the gram.
Bye San Diego we loved visiting with you and all the beautiful people you have around. It was an amazing time. I want to come back for sure. There is so much to do and see. We stayed with free stuff.
