Tag's, Tag's Everywhere Tag's ~~~Traveling Beer, Wine, and Alcohol Tag's~~~

Hello again and HAPPY WEEKEND!!! Well yes paradise found.......is exactly what making these tags has been about. I signed up for a year long swap where you make tags from different countries and each month we get a new month. This was a Caribbean Island....well I chose Aruba.  Who wouldn't want to go there???? Well I hear so much about this wonderful place from friends who have visited that...I decided that was my island of choice. I had no idea there were soooo many islands and oh my I have learned so much doing this swap on Swap-Bot because each time you get a different country you basically gotta learn about it to get the feel of it and of course know the ALCOHOL of choice....well I can see myself sitting on the beach in Aruba drinking a coconut mixed drink....perhaps a coconut crusher or a coconut pie. YUM! So that was my drink of choice for this swap. I decorated the tag with sprays and stamps and used my Montana Markers for the side in black.

The tag has those 3D stickers you buy at Michael's and I painted this side using my Gelli-Plate which you make tags super quick and easy and FAB!

Of course I love charms and this sun charm was perfect. I buy most of my charms from Etsy...so many to pick from! I used embroidery floss also to put with the fibers.

Some of the stickers are Jolee's too. Which who couldn't love those...they ARE so darn cute!

Here I cut the ARUBA silhouette in Black Bazzill cardstock using my Silhouette Cameo....it turned out exactly as I wanted! This one went to Canada.

Of course this is my Italy tag

I still have tons of buttons from my term with Rusty Pickle and I still use them...This is one of my favorite things to do make grapes with them...which I also did for the wine recipe book.

The leaves are CuttleBug dies from a longtime back.
If you look closely I even found a Chianti wine charm advertised on Etsy as vintage charm...gotta love it!

Well I choose Chianti Wine I mean pure perfection I used encaustic wax on the tag and love these feel of it...I use R&F

The tag was a lot of fun to make. Now I need that glass of wine.

This is Germany tag, I used an old Quickutz container to make the box for the tag. I had the Germany paper from a swap years back...the Prost is actually A Quickutz alpha.

This was a lot of fun! The front of the tag

The back of the tag

Again I used the Gelli-Plate  for the tag itself love love love the Gelli-Plate

The box with the lid on

This is similar to the Italy tag but this actually the Paris tag, I actually went to Paris in the tenth grade and while there drank wine...and beer. There was no age limit then in France or if it was IDK...I bought beer at the McDonalds in Paris and I thought I was it! Again my button technique....the wine bottle is Quickutz

The label is from one of my favorite of all time swappers thanks sweet Lu! I aged it with Tim Holtz inks and the wine glass is also Quickutz the tag was made with alcohol inks by Ranger.

The ink on the goblet is Copic

Rub-ons and more Rusty Pickle buttons

The box I made for the tag, I bought the Vins on Etsy

It looked so nice in the box

The Russia Tag which I think was my most favorite too

I bought all the goodies from Scrapbook.com

There was a lot of wonderful Russia items for purchase

Of course the alcohol of choice was VODKA

I used a lot of fibers

A great collage for Russia

The Babushka Doll

I do love the dolls, see that wonderful Russia paper from Scrapbook.com

the papers are from Scrapbookcustoms.com that I bought from Scrapbook.com

Well this is the last one I just completed for this month and I had England....well Castle Rock is the alcohol of choice and an evening at the Pub....I love the English flag Union Jack its everywhere, cell phone covers, craft items, charms, etc... I first embossed the tag with the Tim Holtz Sizzix folder of the London icon. I used some of Paper House Productions stickers they are just too cute!

Again more of the Paper House Productions and the Castle Rock beer the inks from Tim Holtz

So much fun these tags are....if ya want to join the next round go HERE or keep an eye out from swap hostess to hold the next one which will be again real soon

The Screech Owl by Castle Rock

The bottle cap

The ribbon is some I dyed and the adorable Union Jack buttons are from Etsy

You can see the thickness of the stickers here....too cute!
Our next tag is Mexico which of course you all know me and my margaritas....mmmmmm.
Well today I cleaned house and the boys helped too...I'm ready for my next page in my journal and hopefully go to the quilt show tomorrow. Have a great evening and Sunday too!! I cooked the boys spaghetti for dinner and I am having spaghetti squash. Yummy!

Stuck On You Sketches "Time in the Garden is Time Well Spent" Encaustic Layout with Bo Bunny Paper

Stuck on You Sketches
Time In the Garden is Time Well Spent
An Encaustics layout on the Bo Bunny Paper
The picture is of a watercan in my garden that I have edited in PhotoShop which I love how it turned out.
I used Helmar glues and WOW!!! They are AMAZING!!!!! The title I made in Silhouette on a peice of transparency then glued it on without any glue showing!!! The gear and watch parts are real and vintage. The number nine is a vintage #, I always collect the number 9's anywhere they are.  The clock behind the picture was cut from the Cricut on Wall Decor and More. I used paints, Pan Pastels, R&F Encaustic wax, stamps by Hero Arts, Stamper's Anonymous Tim Holtz collection, Helmar Glues, The Helmar Scrap Dots is my favorite. Golden Gesso was applied first to the fun foam numbers.
The pussy willow is Prima.

A little close up although not crooked  just a different view in the camera.

Note the numbers under the encaustic wax.

On Fire....Encaustics and a Forbidden Necklace

Relax and Enjoy.....
Encaustic Painting

Forbidden I call it
Love love it!!
Copper Enamel Piece

Hello.....bloggers!!
I am up late once again...have had a super busy week..feels like a roller coaster ride at this point....I keep yelling "hey dude....let me off" okay not really but this has been so weird with the medicine change, my BP's have been sooo high crazy...this med is just not right for me. I have been so hyper.....yesterday alone I cleaned my whole second floor top to bottom and mopped all the floors and waxed......okay do ya get the picture. I am already a busy body.......and this new medicine has not helped. But hey I have got a lot done and super fast too.
Even with all the wild crazy cleaning I had to get my creative time in too, so last night after everyone was asleep I made the necklace. It is a piece of copper, I enameled with Thompson Enamels, which Ornamentea sells! Yes! Then using the goodies I got from Ornamentea.com put it together. I was so excited about the necklace I ran down to show Amanda..she was still awake, 17 and said here try this on...first thing she said was it is like.....I yelled out FORBIDDEN??? She said yes! Perfect...she loved it instantly. It looked so gooood on her. I opened up my Etsy store yesterday....although I have been shopping on there since 2007....I never have really had the courage to sell any of my creations, although I sold a many a many a many pieces in my ceramic/pottery days. I had a craft show every weekend , well as much as I could. So I said I can always try. I am always worried with the babies it can be hard. So we shall see, it will take me time but now is the time! So as I get moving with it....stuff will increase in the store. Don't laugh now that I have only one piece on there....lol! I move slow....
Today was even just as crazy with the new medicine, Cody was home sick, and I would run from the studio back and forth. He is 13 but when your sick you need all the help you can get. So far the babies are good!!! I felt like playing with the encaustics today...I made this piece in like 10 minutes...it is sooo much fun and I just love the colors. The bicycle is Silhouette Sd cut and the coaster is from a restaurant. The Flat Tire beer. I love how it turned out.
Well I am getting soooo sleepy now...just maybe I can sleep tonight. Cyber Hugs, Dawn

Hello Friends,    Hope you all are doing awesome!!! I made this project for the Simon Says Stamp and Show this week for the awesome challenge" Whatever Makes You Happy".  Well you know what alot of things make me happy but one thing that does is sewing..and I have realized that I have not even made many post on things I have sewn....I have tried here lately to include other creations other than scrapbooking. I have never made much effort to include the sewn items..I know in scrapbooking I have included costumes etc. I really do need to share some of them.
The configuration box is Tim Holtz which they sell at Simon Says Stamp I have been wanting to make one every since CHA. I decided the sewing was perfect for my first one (yeah you know I wanna make more). Sewing truely makes me happy. Love it in everyway. I would make the girls dresses, costumes, and even add lace to their socks.  Now I will quilt blankets, make practicle items (toaster cover, bags, etc.) I even would make my own purses and the girls too. I have really neglected this wonderful enjoyable hobby.
Things I put into the box are tomato pin cushion I inked to distress using Distress inks. The pins are colored with Copic markers. Vintage items, Melody Ross brad "Homemade", GCD pp, old pattern and Golden gel medium. The lace is vintage. The feet are Tim Holtz, the hinges are unknown I installed them using the Fiskars hand drill. Alcohol inks on the metal embellishments.
The encaustic piece is another view of my happy sewing side...the GCD Melody Ross sign, the Unity Stamp Company is the chairs.....oh love that stamp. I used staz-on to stamp with.  The flower is Prima. I also wanted to share with you about the pizza oven we have been working on.....can't wait. The boys stamped thier hands in the bottom where the wood will be stored. So exciting!! More pics to come. Hope you have a wonderful inspired day. Cyber Hugs, Dawn Gallop
