Hello again,
I know it has been one of those weeks....getting class stuff ready for teaching, DT projects, and finishing up other projects.  Not to mention this is the week before Halloween and alot of activities.  We have been having fun getting ready for Halloween. Despite this continued leg pain...I still try to keep going .  The recipe I wanted to share with ya...for the day. Recipe can be found fbnr.com magazine Vol. 7, No. 18, October 31, 2002 edition. These are a favorite of the children. Found on page 44 of the magazine cookbook they call them Abracadabra Hats.....we call them wizard hats, big Harry Potter fans here!!!!!
                        Abracadabra Hats
1 package of Pillsbury Crescent rolls
1/2 teaspoon dried basil leaves (I used Italian seasoning)                                                                        16 turkey pepperoni slices (I used a star and biscuit cutter to make stars/moons)
salami sticks (I use cheese sticks and or turkey cocktail wienie's)
2 cups pizza or marinara sauce (I serve with angel hair pasta)

I use my Pampered Chef stone, roll out the dinner rolls preheat oven to 375* roll the wienie's up into the wide ends to create a brim. I have also used cheese sticks. Sprinkle with spices,  Cut out the moons/stars and place on top of hats.  Bake for 12 minutes.Just toooo tooo cute!!

The Halloween spirit house I have created started with a trip to Ornamentea  where I signed up for a class with Carol Owen. An amazing artist who also has a book and is in several others books as a guest artist. She signed my books, and taught us a tremendous amount of knowledge. We all had a blast met some awesome ladies. Pam treated us for lunch on Sunday, thanks Pam! Carol and I had lunch together at McDonald's Saturday together. Just fun fun fun!! It was well needed relaxing weekend. We made our spirit house on Saturday and finished up the drawer on Sunday and of course some decorating. As usual all my goodies are at home so I wait until I get home to decorate. I worked on it Monday and finished up on Tuesday...found out the challenge of the week over at Simon Says Stamp was something scary...well I think I covered that!!!
So this creation is entered in that awesome challenge. There are of course Tim Holtz products, Golden paints, Martha Stewart punches, copper roof with the Sizzix TH die used thru the Cuttlebug. Patina, dollar store skulls, the tiny skulls are handmade by me using paper clay. Copics used to color them airbrushed. The sign in the back is Pink Paislee. I hope you like it!! Have a WONDERFUL HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!!
