Ingredients for the Spritz cookies

Cream sugar and butter

Add flour gradually

You can make a log to place in the spritz cookie machine
I never do I just scoop into the cylinder

Note the snowflake comes out perfect

The first ones are never perfect but after a few they are!

They just come out so perfect and so EASY!!!!



Wilton Cookie Press



        Hi there wanted to bring you Recipe #18 with the lo, the snowflake spritz cookies.  If you have never used a cookie press well then you should, because they are awesome!! I had one back right after I got married and it never really worked well, so all these years I have been a little skeptical about buying a new one...for the same fear. Well one day when at Michael's and a coupon I thought yeah let me buy a new one and try it out. Well most defiantly worth the purchase. It really does work GREAT!! Wilton Cookie Press click HERE . I used the recipe in the booklet that came with it....oh cool is that!! I put the YouTube Video up so you can see it for yourself. AWESOME!!! I have made them several times since my purchase, they usually disappear quick. They are right tasty.
Spritz Cookie Recipe
1 1/2 cups of butter, softened
1 cup granulated sugar
1 egg
2 Tablespoons milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. almond extract
3 1/2 cups of flour (all-purpose)
1 tsp. baking powder
Preheat oven to 375 degrees.  First cream the butter and sugar together in the mixer, add the egg, milk, vanilla, and almond extract. Stir together the flour and baking powder gradually adding to the creamed mixture. Mix well now roll into a log if you wish, i just pack it into the cylinder of the cookie press and start pressing on your ungreased cookie sheet, (I use the stones) Do NOT chill the dough.  If using sprinkles do so before cooking on these. I added frosting so the sprinkles stuck to that instead of the cookie. If you choose to dye the dough just add a few drops of food coloring or even icing colors Wilton has them.  These are yummy!! The layout is a pic of my dd Amanda this past January in a snow we had.  I thought it was so perfect with those pp's. I bought these last week and there were only these two sheets left and a few of the embellies. I was eager to make this lo, remember I have not scrapped much this year.....this is only the second lo since March. So many other projects going on.  The pp are Bo Bunny, the stitching is We R Memory Keeper's the sewing tool, it works great!! I used the Fiskars wavy paper roller. Ingredients for Crescent Bundle Surprises

Snickers Bar cut into pieces 2.07 oz. size

Pillsbury Crescent rolls cut in half bottom up

Snicker pieces on top of Pillsbury Crescent roll halves

Rolled up on pan/stone

Put in oven at 375 degrees

after cooled frost with cream cheese frosting in sandwich baggie with tiny hole in end

Yummy now eat!!

Pizza oven update

Hello,
     Wanted to start early today at trying to get this post up..lol! So good morning!! Sitting here having my tea while the sun is beginning to shine....yippie! It is very cold here today at 34 degrees....I know so cold for some but for us southerners yeah its cold! lol! The card I made using the same sketch as the lo I did on Saturday. HERE is the link. A fabulous little sketch. I have really enjoyed all the Imaginisce stamps, All About Scrapbooks sells them where I teach classes. They just make great little stamps for an awesome price. Imaginisce has a great sketch this month too check it out HERE. I hope to participate and I hope you can too. The little house on my card came from Nancy one of my wonderful students, it was a brand new punch she said she had no use for...I love it, thanks Nancy!! The cardstock is an Archiver's stock and the snowflakes and circles are Fiskars punches. The Santa gnomes were colored in using the copic sketch markers and paper pieced. I punched the house out several times to add lift. The sewing is my Brother sewing machine and Sulky metallic thread.
     The Pizza oven is coming along....still waiting for the mortar to dry. Bruce works on it ever moment he is not at a work...so real soon!! We can't wait!! Abigail my sweet granddaughter came over the other night  I gave here a little paint set Cooper picked out just too cute. Love that pic of her.
       The recipe #2 is Crescent Bundle Surprises found on page 67 of a Taste of Home magazine Fun Food. Sept. 25, 2009.  The recipe comes from Joyce Platfoot of Wapakoneta, Ohio. We have been making these since I found the recipe...oh my. The family loves them...Bruce says "take these away from me." They are just so easy and fun. The kids can do it!  All you need is 1 tube of Pillsbury Crescent rolls, 8 fun size Snicker bars, halved. 1/4 Cup of cream cheese frosting. Simple as that! I used the 2.07 size Snicker bar cut into pieces it took 2 candy bars to do the one tube. I froze them is a Tupperware container flat and pop out when a snack is needed or your holiday table.
CRESCENT BUNDLE SURPRISES
1 tube (8 oz) refrigerated crescent rolls
8 fun sized Snickers candy bars, halved ( I used 2.07 cut into pieces)
1/4 cup cream cheese frosting
sandwich bag/ pastry bag
See steps above. Cook on ungreased pan/stone at 375 degrees cool and frost. Use the sandwich bag to frost by cutting small corner off and pipe out or use a pastry bag and tip number 5.

       Hello Friends,    Hope you all are doing awesome!!! I made this project for the Simon Says Stamp and Show this week for the awesome challenge" Whatever Makes You Happy".  Well you know what alot of things make me happy but one thing that does is sewing..and I have realized that I have not even made many post on things I have sewn....I have tried here lately to include other creations other than scrapbooking. I have never made much effort to include the sewn items..I know in scrapbooking I have included costumes etc. I really do need to share some of them.
       The configuration box is Tim Holtz which they sell at Simon Says Stamp I have been wanting to make one every since CHA. I decided the sewing was perfect for my first one (yeah you know I wanna make more). Sewing truely makes me happy. Love it in everyway. I would make the girls dresses, costumes, and even add lace to their socks.  Now I will quilt blankets, make practicle items (toaster cover, bags, etc.) I even would make my own purses and the girls too. I have really neglected this wonderful enjoyable hobby.
        Things I put into the box are tomato pin cushion I inked to distress using Distress inks. The pins are colored with Copic markers. Vintage items, Melody Ross brad "Homemade", GCD pp, old pattern and Golden gel medium. The lace is vintage. The feet are Tim Holtz, the hinges are unknown I installed them using the Fiskars hand drill. Alcohol inks on the metal embellishments.
         The encaustic piece is another view of my happy sewing side...the GCD Melody Ross sign, the Unity Stamp Company is the chairs.....oh love that stamp. I used staz-on to stamp with.  The flower is Prima. I also wanted to share with you about the pizza oven we have been working on.....can't wait. The boys stamped thier hands in the bottom where the wood will be stored. So exciting!! More pics to come. Hope you have a wonderful inspired day. Cyber Hugs, Dawn Gallop

Hello all,
     I have tried all day to get to this post....lol!! Dusty and Cooper are now both sick with a cold and quite frankly cranky and miserable. Poor babies.  Saturday we went to the school Scholastic Book Fair, the theme this year is Reading Saves the Day.  The boys love that show.....we were singing the song and having a fun filled super reading day. I just love going to these.....for the cookbooks wink wink of course. I always love the themes and the work and creativity that goes into the book fairs!!! Just awesome!!
      I will be talking about the goodies from Friday with you as soon as I can get the pics loaded. Hubby is talking about taking my computer to repair place to look at and I am just not happy with that idea!! So we shall see.
      What are you thankful for????? This card is for Crystal (I am still waiting on her address) from Korea. I guess I need to tell her I am sending her money, LOL!!!!  I want her to know how thankful we are of her and for her duty to our country. She is an apple of my eye!!! Hence the apples! LOL!! I used all Imaginisce Apple Cider collection. Love that pp, the raccoon is too too cute. The stamp is also Imaginisce, I colored the stamp in with Copics. The leaf stamps are also Imaginisce using Ranger watermark stamp pad. The waves were made with Fiskars scissors. Well better run...the boys will be wanting to eat dinner soon. Winter ~Rusty Pickle~

Good Morning all, I made this one for the January Rusty Pickle sketch. Love the sketch thanks Sarah. Since the sketch is about winter, snow, sledding you know all the winter stuff. I picked these pics of my children from January 2001. We had a day off from school for this snow storm, which of course they loved that and with us living close to the coast of North Carolina snow is not something we have much of sooooo we love it when it does snow . This is a pic of my oldest 5, which now Jr. will be 23 in a few days, and the littlest one is Cody who is now 12. Time just goes way to quick, thank goodness we have cameras to capture these moments. Anyway......I used the Rusty Pickle Chocolates Bunnies line, and the Word Reel page for this lo with some good ole' cardboard and the blue is from Panama Jack . The W is from the cardboard letters from Rusty Pickle which are just fabulous!! The snowflakes at the bottom are from SpellBinders, layered. The rest of winter was made on the Cricut Gypsy welded together..love it!! Lots of distressing with scissors and paint. Thanks for looking and Have a Wonderful Day. Dawn
