Amelia did such an incredible job making everything, the banner, the food, the ice cream cake. Oh my goodness that was delicious. She used the gluten free Oreo cookies so I could eat it. That made my day. It was so good I had two pieces. Cody made hot dogs and hamburgers and high kept two out for me since they had buns that had gluten in them. The fam really enjoyed the food. The boys loved their cake. So did I!! Amelia you are such an inspiration and a wonderful mom. People used to tell me I made motherhood look easy. Now I see Amelia as that mom who makes it seem so easy. So proud of her!!! Bravo Mom!!
Baker and Brooks love balloons. I was going to get some but Bruce said the temperature outside would make them fall which did happen to me when my mother had sent me balloons for when my daughter Alexis was born. The ac was on and the balloons fell by the next morning. I certainly enjoyed seeing the boys play with the balloons. Amelia’s brother fixed the candle 2 as it had broke before adding to the cake. He did a great repair.
Ok mom let’s eat!! They are so interested in what’s in that casserole dish. Look at those sweet little faces.
Those tractors and their trailers were fascinating. They added more of the sprinkles back into the trailers. Eat the sprinkles too. It was so cute. Makes a grandma’s heart sing. I love seeing my grown son be such an awesome dad. Cody you make me so happy and proud to witness all that makes you such a wonderful dad and son. Brother, uncle and special human!! You are INCREDIBLE!!! Thank you for being YOU!!!
Ledger and Riggs enjoyed some sprinkles too. I love seeing them all play together. Not to mention seeing. These two I have had the privilege to be apart of their lives even since birth. Even when Alexis lived in Wisconsin and is living in North Carolina. I was able to be apart of their lives even then. They would come and stay at our house which meant so much to me. It was very special and joyful. Thank you Alexis for understanding that a grandma wants to and needs to be parts of their lives. Alexis has went out of her way to make this happen and I more thankful than she will ever know.
They enjoyed their cake yummy!!
They played with their tractors and trailers in the ice cream it was perfect those tractors were in the mud for sure.
Look at their layers of scrumptious little morsels of mouth watering ice cream and gluten free Oreo cookies. I know you want a piece?? I am right ? Smiling here.
So for their birthday I got them these special trucks with cars and construction equipment. I always put a lot of thought into what I purchase. I think of the pros and cons however sometimes I get them wrong. Yes I do. I think back to when my nine children were growing up and the toys they had. Brooks is grinning ear to ear. So is their cousin Frankie. She is so sweet.
All the food was so nourishing and delicious. Pluto’s Punch.
Daisy’s fruit salad, Goofy’s mixed green salad.
Minnie’s Bow Tie salad
Donald’s Mac n’ Cheese
The boys love fruit salad they even made me buy some grapes today. They always ask me for more fruit or more cottage cheese when I am with them.
Alexis and Garrett came which was so nice to see them. They helped us by taking Cooper back to Fond du Lac so he was closer to the airport which was huge. He leaves really early this morning. As you read they he will be half way to San Diego. It it’s on the morning of the date you read this.
My beautiful granddaughter Briar Reese. I love her name.
Briar
This was last years birthday Baker was one. Everyone changes so much in a year I see it for myself lol.
Baker is like this is good but new to me. His smash cupcake.
Brooksie Bear didn’t hesitate. Look at how adorable.
It’s hard to believe yet another year has passed since their 1st birthday. I can’t tell you how much I am so proud of them and thankful that I get to be a part of their lives. Thank you!!!
This morning which is Monday now I had a nine am class online. It’s live. I was ready. It is so nice to be part of a community. Bruce cooked us an egg and pepperoni. Then I had an appointment over in Dickerson county. It went pretty quick. Then we went to Aldi, Walmart and Home Depot. It is extremely exhausting not to mention the same dilemma we all have here in the United States everything is so expensive. The 30 day sketchbook challenge is only four more days and the can say I made it!!! I see the finish line. Smiling. I have so enjoyed it. Learned so much. Met new artists. Good for the artist soul.
Gonna close here.
See you tomorrow…..
Good vibes,
Dawn Gallop
