Hello and welcome if you are new this blog is about my life and my family, my art and living experiences on a very small shall I say very very small income. 10% of the poverty level. You might see these pictures and think a vacation what??? Well my family (Kim and Jr) have made this trip possible. Amongst others as well. Like the tripe to San Diego made possible by five of my (our) children. http://creationsbydawn.blogspot.com/2026/01/january-20-2026-recap-on-san-diego.html
If it wasn’t for them we wouldn’t be able to enjoy these moments in time with our grandchildren and children as much. Most of my blog is picture based as I have had a love of photography my whole life. I had Polaroids and 110s early in my life. At one time I had a huge collection of cameras and had to sell them off for money. I also sold most of my antiques as well at the time.
The line getting into Canada was long but moved quickly. We were so excited we didn’t even notice the line much.
We had stopped at hotel for the night in which Bruce always likes to go to a Best Western as he has points there and also likes to keep collecting his points. He worked out of town for so long and many years in his life that he was always in hotels. Collecting points!
Dusty and I were chilling in the car while Bruce drove us
Roadside views
The grandkids were texting me about how much longer as they had arrived to the house before us.
These two are like magnets 𧲠Levi loves Dusty with a house full of sisters it’s nice to have another bro around
This was a beautiful flower close to where we met the bus

I had bought us these T-shirts which I am still wearing
This was Jr and Kim and the kiddos in the car on the way. Kim does most of the driving as she is very good at it and can roll some miles.
Stopping for gas ⛽️ you know is a must in traveling…..
Kim had mentioned all the things they had ready for the trip and I said did you get the road atlas lol she said no so apparently I didn’t think of everything. We laughed and laughed over that. Us old skoolers we think of the non internet things.
The trip was amazing!! I will cherish these moments forever. Here are some more of the highlights

Today Bruce and Dusty took off the trash and now the trailer is empty. It has been a long winter. Plus it cost money which it was $135 bucks which is a lot when you are on a very tight budget. We also pay for curbside pickup and the cans that are used. The stuff on the trailer was mostly stuff from the bathroom remodeling last summer which really went on until December or January of this year. We can’t count how long it took shhhshhh!
So that was nice to see that gone I stayed here and worked on my painting of Day 75 Mushrooms of the 100 Day Project. 25 more days to go. It’s went faster than I expected and now everyday I’m like what’s my mushroom today. I enjoy it.
Sending all the love on this windy cold day.
My aunt called yesterday for Easter and so did Cody and the children. Brooks and Baker got new shoes and toy chainsaw’s . They wanted to tell Papa about it. So cute. Jr. is still fighting cellulitis in his knee. It just showed up no apparent reason and he’s on antibiotics. He did receive a bolus of antibiotics in the ER,
Hugs and good vibes for Jr.
love you guys,
Dawn Gallop
