The 32nd Annual Gloucester Daffodil Festival is this weekend on Saturday from 9-5pm and Sunday from 12-5pm. The PARADE is wonderful and HUGE! If you are close enough to visit the Gloucester Virginia this weekend, it is an event you don't want to miss. We are excited to be apart of this amazing event. The art, the music, the food, the FLOWERS....oh my need I say more. There is even a dog event with every kinda dog on the planet.....I think!!! It's a whole lot!!! Let me tell ya! I hope you can make it out to this amazing event.
I have been working super hard this week and I am over tired, exhausted is more like the truth. It's just another day in the life....and I'm not complaining just over worked and way under paid.....LOL!!! It is rewarding and I enjoy every minute of it!
I want to show you some of the goodies I have done. Today alone other than the usual chores, milking goats, taking care of baby goats and my kiddos, laundry, cooking, self care (which included an early morning hike) ....I made 82 jars of yummy goodness today from canning pickles, hot pickles, blueberry jam, and making several candles today, and just LIFE. Printed most of my labels today for the goodies I made this week. I make myself a note so when I sit at the computer and print them it's all done! More boxes came today too which is huge because it seems I run out too fast. I buy a thousand at a time and the boys put them together and all us put the soaps in the boxes and then label. A true family company here.
The boxes came today. Which I joked and said "the boys will be thrilled to see these" hahaha NOTWe have been keeping Milly close since her mom wouldn't take care of her, she is such a sweetie I tell you adorable!!!
Dusty trying to get Milly to jump up.
Dusty and me playing on Snapchat. Dusty said he is an anime....IDK....but okay Dust!
More Snapchat is sooo much fun and the creators, artist of Sanpchat have some of the most creative "things" it just cracks me up, and we all laugh so much sometimes....they are really good! Fun too!
I am having a BLAST making the candles I am using the hemp wick and the beeswax candles last for like 125 hours, no chemicals in the air, and no smoke, and the smell of them AMAZING ......I have been using one of my own candles in my room in the evening.
See the beeswax candles turned out great. You can see the different colors of the beeswax just depending on which cappings and frames they came on as some are darker than others plus the hotter the wax gets the darker it gets too.
The candles in the mold
The first thing I did this morning yep before coffee was take jars out of the dishwasher

I love turtles and I saw this guy while on our hike this morning
Hello little turtle
I won't be making another post until after this weekend because after these shows we still have to come home and take care of the chores thankfully Colten is able to take care of most everything but as parents we still have to check. Have a GREAT Weekend and stay warm and safe.
Sending Cyber Hugs,
Dawn Gallop
